So ive been out on the web this after looking for good add-ons and plugins for blogging. So far ive gotten into FeedBurner, Share This and Digg. Share This was the easiest one to get working. Digg seems to want to put a weird ‘; in my content, which is weird. And FeedBurner seems to be silent so i cant say much about that.
Anyway, if you notice some upgrades and they seem to suck let me know and i’ll take them out. Otherwise if you have a good inside scoop on some easy to use social networking tools let me know.
All the while ive been watching Mr. Mom. Dont you just love the 80′s and its movies? I had a choice between Mr. Mom and StarGate. I like StarGate but I’ve been here at home so much lately that I thought Id get a little home comedy.
Over the last month i built about 10 to 15 different themes, I’ve trashed about 5 of them and had to rebuild about 5 others. There are only about 3 or 4 that are actually being used.
Layout, Color, Form over Function, Ledgability, User Friendly, and most important does the owner actually like it?
Ive come to realize that just about everything has been done already. Rounded corners, dropshadow, lines, fonts, colors; you get the point. But, design in general has to be pleasing, not just to the owner but their audience as-well. Have you ever gone to a blog that you really like to read, but by the time your done reading you dont feel like going out and reading another one. The type is so small that you almost cant tell whats going on. Sure you can always inlarge the text through the browser but you shouldnt have too.
Over the next month im going to try and get some of my Themes submitted to WordPress. Hopefully that will get them into the themes on wordpress.com. We’ll see.
If you have any suggestions on what you would like in a theme let me know.
In the last week or two Ive been trying to do both a post for a web oriented topic and a personal topic on two different blogs. It was fun but im going to consolidate.
Sorry for all the confusion around here but streamlining is my favorite thing to do. Those of you RSS people may have to set up again, but it shouldnt be a big deal.
Happy blogging and remember to keep your eyes pealed for more blogs from artist that should all ready be blogging.
