Today was one of the first real down pours that I’ve seen since I’ve been here in Tn. I’m not going to say that it’s the worst I’ve seen, but it was kinda cool.

Brody and I were on our way back from a meeting in Green Hills when the clouds apparently felt the need to puke all over us. It was like the clouds water broke and the baby was on it’s way…

After dealing with the crappy highway conditions we got into Spring Hill and stopped off at the Papa Murphy’s to get a pizza for us and the kids. At this point the clouds were still dripping on us pretty bad. I didn’t want to get out of the car, but I had to. I made a mad dash to the covered curb, you know, shoulders raised high and grabbing my pant legs as if that was going to help.

When I got to the curb I was standing next to the ATT store and noticed the girl inside walking around like a wet zombie. It looked like she fell over in a puddle or someone decided to through a cheap water bed at her. I felt so bad…

She waddled over to the front door and unlocked it, then she turned on the lights as if to say were open for business, but I could tell she wasn’t very happy about the whole situation…

The one thing I felt really bad about was that she happened to be wearing a nice white business shirt, which was now completely drenched, and most likely absolutely see through. I kinda wanted to tell her she should just go home, close up shop, get a cup of coffee and dry off.

In the end I went in and commented about the rain and asked her about my phone and some stuff. No, I wasn’t trying to sneak a peak, I honestly felt bad.

On the flip side… Playing in the rain is probably one of the most fun things to do… Especially when it’s not cold…

I need some shorts because the weather is supposed to take a hike north to about 90 – 95 on Friday. I’m still a little skeptical about wether or not this is really going to happen, but I should be prepaid by at least having one pair of shorts.

Normally I just cut off the pair of pants that are the most destroyed, but so far this year it’s just not in the cards. I think I’ll have to make a trip to the old GoodWill and see what’s up.

I’m honestly not that excited about the heat that’s coming for about a day, but I guess it’s to be expected. Summer is almost here and I get the feeling Tennessee is going to be a bit hotter than Portland.

Is there anything special that you do to get ready for summer. Making a pair of cut off is about all I can think of.

I’m sure it all traces back to the days of Rome and the beginning of the Catholic church and there are reasons for it all. I’m just wondering why does he still wear it?

Culture is an interesting beast, especially when it comes to clothes and appeariance. This is a huge topic for me, but I never mention it. I’m really interested in why society dresses the way it does. Yes, I understand Fads and Trends, Marketing strategy and all those things have a huge affect on the way we see things. But, if you push all that crap aside what is left?

I had a bit of a problem today with my work pants. I started the day with a small hole next to the back pocket and by 8am it somehow made its way down to the bottom of the pocket. This left a good size hole right to my butt. By 1am I had a full blown problem. The hole had expanded with a vortex grip half way to my knee. (not cool) Old ladies and soccer mom’s were giving me the old stink eye.

I know you cant expect much when you buy your pants at walmart, but i do when im buying work pants because there only going to last about a month or two anyway. I swear they make those things out of baby hair and cat fur. Not the strongest stuff to make jeans out of. I think Carhartts probably has the best formula, horse tail and old man eyebrows. Thats the stuff america is made out of.

Some of you may remember an old post that i made about 3mo ago. It was on an older blog that i was keeping. The title of the post was “Test of 2008″. I was making plans to try and wear the same clothes and everything for a whole year. (i dont mean 1 shirt 1 pant)

My peramaters were simple the goal was simple, but I am week.

Although one part that I am going to stick to and have so far is that I am only going to wear shirts that are blank or have something that put on them. (apart from going to work, which is where all my old shirts are going. they will die soon. rip:-(
