Learning on our Own
I realized today, after putting my nose in a book for a long time, that the one thing I never learned in Grade School or High School was how to teach MySelf.
I don’t blame it on a poor education, I got me good one. But, I would have to say that I really didn’t start to open books and actually learn from them until I was in my last year of college. I blame it on a short attention span. It wasn’t until I found something that I really wanted to learn that actually opened a book and studied what was inside.
I remember it blatantly, I wanted to learn Flash (v5) and the college didn’t have a course on it so I downloaded some manuals and started plucking away at all the timeline crap and symbols stuff. After repeated success I realized that, “Wow, book are useful!!!”
So now I’m left wondering, how could I have started this at a younger age. Any of you that have known me since Grade School are probably laughing right now, but come on, anything is possible right?
I’ll just keep it in mind, for when ever I have kids that, I still fall asleep just from looking at a book.
I’m going to go take a nap…

CSS Pocket Ref, and some movies

Well Im off to go and look at some books. Im really not much of a reader, if i get a book its going to be about web and graphics.
