Portland rain

Its been raining here for about 3 day, but looking outside I can see some blue sky. There is something about walking out into the sun after a long stretch of clouds. Probably has something to do with my body needing sunlight. Oh, the wonders that be.

By the way, if you havn’t noticed Im going to be posting smaller posts here until the wordpress series is complete. Im really trying not to drag it out.

WordPress with out .WordPress – it’s all about that ‘.’

. what?

This tagline Wordpress with out .WordPress seems like a lame thing to say, but it’s actually fairly simple and really cool. The people at WordPress developed an Application that lets ‘us’ the ‘general public’ update and edit our own websites based on a visual theme of our choice. No duh right… We’ve all seen the dashboard and all the little areas with our WordPress account. Did you know that you can download the WordPress [...] Read More

WordPress with out .WordPress – Indroduction

First things first.

I think it only fair to tell you this right off the bat. This series is designed for those of you that are interested in having your own domain name and your own Hosting package. Both of these cost $money. Be assured I am not the one making that money.

Why?

The Why can be simple or difficult, it’s all up to you. The Why for me was easy, I like web design and [...] Read More

WordPress hand in hand

It would appear that most of my traffic in the last day and probably today as well is all coming from Brody. (if not check it out) Brody called me the other day with all these questions about BlueHost and how to get wordpress with out .wordpress.

As you can see we busted out and he’s up and running with the bulls. We’ve still got a few bugs. (im sure you dont mind those little rolly [...] Read More

New Years

Well its 2008. This is my last year in the 20′s so I’m going to try and make it good.

I spent my new years at home watching a Planet of the Apes marathon. As it turns out there are 4 movies that I know of posibley 5. Jenny is out of town and I dont really go out that much. I will tell you this, Oregon has fireworks.

This was my first New Years here [...] Read More

Pillar of Memories

I woke up this morning thinking about all the people I saw this last week. I have so many memories and so many snapshots of people in my head. (like we all do) I think each one of my family members probably has an entire house worth of memories in my head somewhere. I was thinking about people I hadn’t seen in along time, and I was only getting a couple of memories. Then all [...] Read More

Home

Well, I made it home. It was a clean sweep, i was in and out with no damages or complaints. I flew into portland and felt pretty good, it was raining though. (no big deal)

I took the max all the way from PDX to Tigard. I’ve always wanted to try that. Some people really dont like public transit but I think the light rain is really cool. I went strait through downtown and through the [...] Read More

Christmas Vacation Day #5

Day 5 was another day of just sitting around and doing a lot of nothing. It was awsome.

All the kids and everyone but me and my parents and one niece went to boreal for skiing. I didnt go because I didnt want to get hurt, maybe next time. From what I heard they all got up there and then most of the kids just wanted to go home because they didnt want to take [...] Read More

Christmas Vacation Day #4

Not much happened on day 4, I spent most of it sleeping. My usual sleep schedule has been tossed out the window and stepped on by the dogs, so taking a nap was the best thing I could have done.

The thought of having my own kids has never really been a big ‘no’. Im good with kids and know i could handle the screaming and yelling. But!, handling the screaming and yelling is a developed [...] Read More

Christmas Vacation Day #3

We had our present opening yesterday with all the nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, parents and grandparents. It was a mad house of toys wrapping paper, toys in the air and laughing. I really like to see someone open a present when its something they really like. After presents and dessert the adults (the older kids) all went down to the Foothills bowl and had some fun for about an hour. I may have [...] Read More
