My Work 2011

I’ve aways found talking about myself to be a little odd. I’m not much for self promotion.

The short story is: I build websites, plugins and various web related products. I started building websites in 2001 while I was in college. I spent most of my college years in graphic design and web design until I realized I didn’t like dealing with the “print” industry and decided to focus on the web. Most of my years after college until late 2007 were spent in int he construction industry looking for ways to build websites that users could manage with out needing to learn a major platform to edit their site. When a friend recommended WordPress I came out of my construction coma and jumped back into code.

Most of what I build has been centered around the WordPress platform or branched off from it. I’ve been working with since v2.3.2 and have spent quite a bit of time building my own theme. If you would like to see other my public works-in-progress check out my GitHub account.

Since I moved back into web work I’ve been fortunate to have friends with good connections and meet other developers and project manager that are like minded. Some times I feel like I’ve stumbled into the position I have, but it’s probably more likely that I’m a workaholic :) I also firmly believe punctuality and ones desire to learn and grow can give them the edge in an industry that seems impossible to penetrate.
