If there is one thing I think we will all realize time and time again is that there are a number of things in life you should not hesitate to do.

It always seems to be the small things that catch my eyes, the easy things. There are a million analogies and examples of this with how and why etched in explaining all of this, but your experiences are probably more fitting. So I won’t get into that, I’ll leave that to you.

But how about this, if you hesitate this week remember it. Even if it’s a small cliché thing like holding a door open or helping that old lady, or drinking more water. Whatever, just remember it for next time you hesitate. How many times will I hesitate befor I just start doing them.

And You?

He’s got a page rank of 6, comes up #14 on a google search for: book clubs. (how broad of a search is book club anyway!)

Point is, he’s achieved a lot. Here is one comparison for you, have you ever heard of Seth Godin, well he’s also a page rank 6. I will openly admit I didn’t see the significance of page rank until the last year or two, but I can say with out a doubt most of us will never pass a pr4.

I’m mentioning Reader’s Circle because he is in need of admin overhaul. He could use a little more lead in his press… If you are an avid “Reader” or a lover of the printed word take some time and get to know what Reader’s Circle is all about.

Here is the crazy thing, everything that Norman has accomplished has been done without using today’s standard of “Social Networking”. He’s offering a service and a resource that you just can’t find anywhere else.

So, if you’re a Reader this is for you! Go and see for yourself!

For as long as I can remember there are certain people I know that have an associated shape in my head. Lots of people are pointy like a triangle, some are round and bubbly like the pink elephants from Dumbo and some people are kind of boxy with rounded corners.

Most of the time is a facial feature or an attitude that creates the shape in my head, but most of the time it takes a while to get a solid shape. The interesting thing is when I meet people that seem to define themselves very quickly.

I get along with just about every shape of person, but I tend to be miss understood by the pointy shapes. What’s my shape?? I think I’m boxy with rounded corners, but a little bubbly too.

Over many years I’ve come to notice that there are two different types of people when it comes to walking and what kind of shoes people will buy.

Type A – Light Stepper, Walks Softly, Good at being sneaky, Doesn’t wear any kind of boots unless there is a reason. (Rainy Day Boots, Work Boots, I need to kick something Boots, I’m riding a Horse Boots)

Type B – Heavy Stepper, Heel First, Jurassic Park Glass of Water, I’m Going Somewhere Now and you can Hear me, Cowboy Boots, High Heels, Boots because I like to hear myself walk…

I know these two Types exist because I am type A and my brother Jon is type B. How will you know if you are type A or type B ? Just ask your significant other.

I think that Light Steppers know that they are “Light Steppers”, but I’m just not so sure that Heavy Steppers realize that are “Heavy Steppers”. If you don’t have a significant other and your wondering if you are Type A or B there are a few test you can do.

Testing for a Type A – “Light Stepper”

How many pairs of boots or high heels do you own and when do you wear them?

Have you ever accidentally scared the crap out of someone and honestly didn’t mean to sneak up on them.

Have you ever tried to map out a hard wood floor so you could miss the creaky boards.

Testing for a Type B – “Heavy Stepper”

How many pairs of boots or high heel do you own and when do you wear them?

Have you ever noticed dust flakes falling from the sky as you walked through a room?

Have you ever dreamt of becoming a Tap Dancer, Cowboy, Eddie Munster, Terminator, Vice Principle or a person that carries a big stick.

What are your Test Results?

I’ve been living in Franklin Tn for about 2 months now and I’ve got 3 Guy roomies. Two of us are next door to 30 and above, and the other two are next door to 20, which makes for a pretty big gap. It would be one thing if the gap was 15 to 20 yrs because then you get that obvious generational difference and if it was less than 5yrs than we’d all be the same age.

NO, were all just about that age difference where not sure if the other person is crazy or just stupid. then again maybe its just me… i have a tendency to lean toward the odd side…

Here’s the deal.
I look back at when i was 20-23 and there is no way that guy and I would live in the same house. I don’t think there would be a fight, I just think one of us would quietly move out without telling the other person why.

If you met yourself from 10yrs ago and didn’t know it was you, would you be able to deal with yourself… Or would you want to punch yourself in the face?

I probably wouldn’t punch myself, but I would probably see myself as an idiot.

Today I was approached by a guy in a Marines uniform. He came up all casual and started to talk about my scooter and seemed kind of interested in what it was all about. I was wrong, he was more interested in me.

I had no idea I still looked like I might have just gotten out of High School, or at least personified a personality of aimless wonderer. We started to talk and he quickly changed the subject from the scooter to the military. His first mistake was asking me when I graduated High School. I’ll give him credit because the instant he finished that question he must have read the look on my face and realized it was about the dumbest thing he could have asked.

I must have had a look of minor distaste in my expression because he quickly added, “at least a few years right”. Me, “Actually it’s been over ten years”. (with a small chuckle) Honestly I didn’t see this coming. I just assumed he was actually interested in my scooter.

In the end I had to tell him that I’ve been around long enough to know that I would never join the service and that I just didn’t have the personality.

I’m glad their are people out their willing to join the service and I’m glad that people are willing to do what ever it is that service guys do, but it’s not for me. I’ve just always thought that I wouldn’t have to explain that. This was the first time I’ve ever been approached by anyone trying to get me interested in the service. Unfortunately for this guy he’s not very good at reading his opponent, and I honestly think I might have been older than he was.

Apart from the awkward look on both of their faces, the conversation was quick and stupid. But, they both got a huge kick out of it. Perhaps it was an inside joke they were laughing at or something they saw, but I couldn’t help but think about all the times I’ve done exactly the same thing…

guy – “YEAH, if I had a house it would be that color, in-fact that’s the house I would buy.”
girl – “yeah, me to”
guy – ‘(good answer man, good answer)’…

Girls, don’t think your any different… How many time have you laughed at one of our jokes, and later thought, “damn, I can’t believe I laughed at that. What the hell was he rambling about…”

All this to say, Dating cracks me up. It’s totally ridiculous what we find ourselves doing when were on a date with someone we have a serious crush on…

I think one of the dumbest things I’ve done on a date was eat a raw green onion and try and say I actually liked it. as if the look on my face wasn’t screaming out saying, what the hell is this crap…
