Winter Theme
It’s almost winter here, in fact the weather has shifted quite a bit and I felt the change so much I decided to find a new background image. Hope you like it.
Truth is, even though you may not be able to tell, this is actually a completely New Theme based on a Parent Child Structure I’ve been working on for a couple of weeks. I’m really excited to see it develop. There is also one other feature I am trying out that you’ll see in the comments section. It’s a comment system running through Intense Debate.
At first it was a tough call between Intense Debate && Discus (which was recommended by Christopher Doherty of Lightvox) but scales were tipped when I remembered that Intense Debate is owned by Automattic.
Let me know what you think of the new comments section. I’m not totally sold on it yet, but I expect IntenseDebate to go through some serious overhauls through out the next year as WordPress and Automattic continue to gain speed.

Yeah, I think site like Los' would tend to lean more towards video comments. You guys can always add some special feature when you are doing promotions with artists but I think on regular sites unless you call for a video comment this plugin is the way to go.
I am interested to see how the community features pan out with the profiles and such on the intensedebate site.

i'm really enjoying intense debate. i think that things could go smoother during initial setup and implementation (i had to keep tweaking so that a #respond and a #comments link wouldn't both show up), but all in all i think it adds a lot of great features to a blog.
i especially love the idea of rolling over the names of the commentors to see their other sites.
love the new theme.

yeah…i don't think i've really seen video comments being used.
even if i did, i don't think most people take the time to watch others' video comments…i mean, come on…there are william hung videos to watch on youtube!

i do have to say that i think they need to add a plain 'blog/website' url in the Other Me(s) section…
[...] also has a new theme on his blog, so go check it out. var idcomments_acct=’98b9c97cbb34d17e6791483203315a23′; var [...]
You know that drove me crazy for a bit. If you edit your profile and check on the left side where it says your name, underneath is a big blue button that says ADD BLOG. That's where you put the link and RSS for your blog. Now it shows as the first link in your rollover. Very not obvious setting.

yeah, finally noticed that…
felt like a big rube after i did…
