Right or Left

I’ve often wondered why I have a hard time remembering right and left, and remembering weather or not a peach is fuzzy. The whole time thinking, “I’ve done this before and I told myself last time that I’ll never forget this”. Sure enough here I am again wondering the same thing, “is a Peach fuzzy or is it a Pear???” peaches are fuzzy, and I should know that…

java_icon.pngSo what’s the point? I’ve decided to try my hand at java over the next whatever amount of time. I’ll never be a mastermind of it, and I’ll never write my own library. But what the heck, if I start now in year or so I could be good at it.

What does Java have to do with Right and Left or Peaches and Pears??? How is it that our brains work so oddly that I can type html, php or css and not forget a single space or character and yet some things I’ll never remember. like the fact that peaches and pears look nothing alike.

  1. Those aren't antlers. Those are his antennae. C'mon.

  2. As I’m looking for jobs, I’m thinking about mastering HTML and CSS (I’ve learned enough to do what I need) and dive into Javascript.

How did you get into it all/

  3. I’ll agree that the left right factor is probably age, but the peaches and pairs thing has been a life long battle.

Now that I think about it, it may have started because of canned fruit…

  4. It’s kind of a long one, but I started in college with adobe golive in 2000, 2004 I realized I was limited because I couldn’t open a text doc and type a web page.

2004-2006 in half ass kinda way, I tore apart all the sites I thought were cool and learned how to do all that were doing. CSS HTML.

Some where 2007 I ran into wordpress and realized if I learned php I could actually make some money doing what I like.

So here I am now opening up twitter scripts and flickr scripts thinking, “this isn’t much different than php, I can learn this…”

and peaches are still fuzzy… ;-)
