Mac Future

Are the rummers true and if so will Mac make something usable or just something cool. I believe Mac is setting the pace as far as their marketing of their Products, but are their latest Product Concepts being applied Properly.

apple-mac-air.jpgThere is no doubt that Mac is setting the curve for what is being produced when it comes to their marketing strategies, but is their enthusiasm for using the latest technology leading them to Produce products that are more ‘cool’ rather than extremely usable? (I wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out that the MacBook Air was a marketing tool rather than a super serious product)

MacBook Air is a good example of what I’m talking about. A great Product that says, “We can do this now, so were going to.”

I love Mac, I just hope they know what they’re doing selling a Product that doesn’t have a defining use. (although it’s pretty freaking cool) I’m fairly sure Mac did their homework before they released this to market, but I hope their being care full about how much they put into technologies that the mass market has a lesser use for.

I’m talking about the fact that we still use CD’s and DVD’s, Wireless is still in need of a lot of refinement and their obviously selling to a small crowd.

The Latest Mac Rumor – MacBook Touch

medium_2167867785_21c57ec5d9_o.jpgThis is the rumor thats got my gears going. →→
How freaking sweet would this be to have. Course I’m not entirely sure if I’d really be able to use it properly, but cool none the less.

I think a Product like the Touch would fall into the same category as the Air. Freaking sweet, but not refined enough to be taken seriously.

The Point of all this..

My ‘Opinion’ is that Technology is moving faster than we can find applications for it. Or, at least faster than we can sell Products that use the Technology properly. is the world full of gadget freaks??? yes…

  1. I am always tempted to buy the “top-of-the-line” when it comes to computer equipment, but I find that it always gets me into nowhere. I am in the market for a new computer since UMASS is offering to pay for $2,000 dollars of it (well in the form of a loan), but I need to spend it wisely…Anyway, I am tempted to buy big, but I think I will end up buying enough power to get the job done. I hate technology because I can never play with it…too much money…

  2. I will take two please….
