What makes a Good Theme?
Over the last month i built about 10 to 15 different themes, I’ve trashed about 5 of them and had to rebuild about 5 others. There are only about 3 or 4 that are actually being used.
Layout, Color, Form over Function, Ledgability, User Friendly, and most important does the owner actually like it?
Ive come to realize that just about everything has been done already. Rounded corners, dropshadow, lines, fonts, colors; you get the point. But, design in general has to be pleasing, not just to the owner but their audience as-well. Have you ever gone to a blog that you really like to read, but by the time your done reading you dont feel like going out and reading another one. The type is so small that you almost cant tell whats going on. Sure you can always inlarge the text through the browser but you shouldnt have too.
Over the next month im going to try and get some of my Themes submitted to WordPress. Hopefully that will get them into the themes on wordpress.com. We’ll see.
If you have any suggestions on what you would like in a theme let me know.

I like this new look, the picture at the top makes me happy.
I guess blogs I don’t like to read would be ones where the background is dark, and the font is really really small. I also don’t like it when the font is too big, so it has to be just right, you know?
I like easy layouts, simplicity.
I think you’re right. Also for me it depends on how late it is and how much light i have on in the room.
I just cant read if the text is too small.
I like simplicity also.
